farmer's market

    FARMER'S MARKET

Definitely a great way to explore and learn about our culture and local produce. Gain knowledge about the products that will be in your next meal.

Taste some new fruits or drink a pipa (coconut juice) with some local spirits, if you want, or just take photos of the beautiful fruits, veggies and herbs displayed at the farmers market, while your bilingual guide explains you about Costa Rican food, you can also get spices and locally made souvenirs.

Time spent at the farmers market will be approximately one hour, depending on the size of the group, before continuing walking on the sea wall of Quepos, towards the marina, in order to visit the oldest restaurant and cantina in town, built on 1939 for the banana plantation workers.

Here you will get a *casado* that means married, because when you get married here in Costa Rica, that’s what you are going to eat every day for the rest of your life.

Your meal will be cooked with some of the ingredients seen at the farmers market. You will also enjoy a delicious smoothie or a very cold local beer.

Ready for dessert? I¨am always ready probably the most famous dessert on the pacific coast line, ¨churchill¨ A perfect blend between snow cone and the ice cream of your preference, yes you better go rafting, hiking or join another active expedition, since you will have a lot of energy after that !
